The AIANYS Future Practice and Community Task Force has been working the past year to develop a panel discussion directed towards helping recently licensed Architects get started on the right foot. The tasks one must complete to become licensed are clearly defined. Those who pursue a career as an Architect know what they need to accomplish before they get their license.
But what happens when you become a licensed Architect? There is less assistance in the industry for newly licensed Architects, when compared to the numerous resources provided to those seeking licensure. The steps of your career path after becoming licensed are somewhat ambiguous. With little structure, this gap in knowledge can impede an Architect’s career. Filling this gap with support and guidance will help the development of young professionals as they venture through their career.
This LIVE panel, composed of an Architect, Developer, Attorney and Contractor, will address various questions providing an insight on real world issues effecting young Architects. What tools do we need to provide to newly licensed Architects to propel their career forward? How can seeing through the eyes of other disciplines involved in the industry enlighten us on what is expected from us as an Architect? How can different disciplines begin to speak the same language to function more systematically as a team? And many more!
