COURSE 2A: REVIT – Basic Applications

Program Description:

Introduction to REVIT, basic modeling tools, site modeling, and setting up documents

Learning Objectives:

• Introduction to the program, welcome screen, work screen
• Basic model building – walls, floors, roofs, windows, and doors
• Families (a.k.a. blocks)
• Site modeling and features
• Setting up construction drawings
• Annotations – dimensions, text, tags
• Title blocks
• Matching office standards from AutoCAD

COURSE 2B:  REVIT – Advanced Applications

 Program Description:

Advanced topics in REVIT including rendering, assigning materials, realistic effects, and collaboration.

Learning Objectives:

  • Renderings

  • Overview of material library

  • Assigning materials

  • Shadows, sketchy lines, and sun orientation

  • Collaboration in office and online with consultants

  • Work sharing

  • Sharing models with clients
