Come join Southern NYS EP for our second annual sandcastle contest. We will provide light refreshments. Bring your family, meet others in the architecture profession and don’t forget to bring your own picnic! You must RSVP on our Eventbrite page above in order to reserve your team spot and join the fun.

The judging of the sculptures is rated on originality of concept, artistic execution, technical difficulty, carving technique, and utilization of the site. At the end of the day, everyone goes home with memories of a great day at the beach filled with fun, sand and sun.

9:30 AM Beach opens for teams
10:00 AM Public is encouraged to begin to arrive to watch the competition.
10:00am - 2:00pm Teams compete and build.
1:30pm - 2:30pm The Voting!!
2:00 - 2:45 pm Judging
2:45 pm Awards Ceremony

Sculptures
Please respect the hard work of our participants by not touching any of the sand sculptures even after the event. Many spectators visit the beach the next day, on Sunday, to view and enjoy the sculptures.
