Presentation Description: The presenter will explain how a geothermal HVAC operates, and the different types of systems that are common to the northeast. Rules-of-thumb will be provided to give architects a basic understanding of the feasibility of constructing a geothermal heat exchange system based on the size of the heating and cooling loads and the site plan. The presentation will provide an introduction to the challenges of constructing the earth-heat exchange portion of a geothermal HVAC system.
