The participants will gain an understanding of the concept of embodied carbon. They will understand the relative climate change impacts of new construction and building reuse. They will learn some patterns to use in successfully adapting existing buildings for reuse. They will also be able to apply those patterns to projects and generate and share their own patterns with others.
