Part 1 - Use of Light Gage Metal Framing in Mid-Rise Construction
Design Professionals will be able to
- Explain the advantages of cold formed steel load bearing wall construction over wood framing.
- Identify building types that benefit from load bearing wall construction over wood framing.
- Select appropriate floor system to complement CFS wall system to accommodate different architectural and MEP systems.
- Identify main components of LGMF system.

Training will focus on review of elements of a site plan that can pose a challenge depending on someone’s abilities. Find out what to look for on a site plan, from things you may already be thinking about such as ramps, to less obvious challenges such as a circuitous sidewalk or poorly-marked crosswalk. Learn how to ensure that projects being built in your community are seamless in their accessibility for people of all abilities.
