You're invited to the read-what-you-wish ARCollective Book Club
brought to you by the AIAWHV EP Committee
Date: August 20, 2020
Time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Platform: Zoom Webinar
In August ARCollective will touch upon Cooperation and Community with an article/book combo.
Flipping through an old Azure Magazine, I came across the following article “ Meet House 2, a Gathering Space Built Under a Zurich Viaduct ”. At the conclusion of the article, Professor Dietz who led the project discussed his inspiration which came from sociologist Richard Sennett’s 2012 book, Together , about the history and politics of cooperation.
Join us on August 20, 2020, at 7:00 pm as we discuss the nature of cooperation and how we can use architecture to create safe spaces from forgotten places to celebrate the differences in our community. Whether you read the article, skimmed the inside cover of the book, or its hiding under a pile of trace on your desk; w e would love for you to join our lively discussion.

If you have an even better book, article, video, or project you want to share with us, please join the discussion or email vbrown@aiawhv.org.
