Village of Ossining

Ossining, NY – This Spring, the Village of Ossining will begin offering the community the ability to apply and pay for Building Department permits online. Users will also have the ability to check the status of permits and inspections electronically. Online permitting will significantly assist in expediting the review and approval process.
To use the online permitting system, a user must first register. This is a onetime process that should take only a matter of minutes to complete. Once registered, a user can log back in, and information will auto-fill on permit applications. An applicant can easily add attachments (plans, pictures, specs, etc.) to the form. Once submitted, applicants can perform an online review of their application status, the results of inspections, and comments from inspectors. Users also have the ability to electronically track all recent permitting history for any parcel in the Village. Payments can be made for their permit online as well.
The Village of Ossining will be hosting trainings on Friday, March 20 @ 10 AM to 12 PM and Friday, March 27 @ 10 AM to 12 PM in the first-floor conference room at the John-Paul Rodrigues Ossining Operations Center (101 Route 9A - Ossining, NY 10562). "We are pleased to be making progress with this improved customer service, and are looking forward to being at the forefront of serving the community's needs."
Trustee Manuel Quezada said, "This new service will be a great addition to what is already offered to those that live and work in the Village of Ossining. Online permitting reduces paperwork and the time it takes for homeowners and contractors to submit permits."
