WASHINGTON – Feb. 20, 2019 – Starting the year on a strong note, architecture firm billings growth strengthened in January to a level not seen in the previous twelve months according to a new report released today from The American Institute of Architects (AIA).

The 2017 Survey of Architectural Registration Boards indicates architects in the United States rose to 113,554, a 3 percent increase since 2016. Surveys have also shown that the number of out of state licenses has risen to the second highest number on record, showing that architects have the mobility they need to move their work across borders.
